He messaged me the other day asking if I could dance at the start of his show Tuesday night.
I think I’m just dancing around for a couple minutes.
I’m excited for my first show at a bar.

The number of people that show up at English Bay to see the fireworks is amazing. Thousands of people cover ever square foot of ground that offers a view of the sky above the water.

Spandy headed down to the bay to bust a groove. It was fun, lots of people smiling and grooving. Then the rain came. The lightening actually added a cool effect to the fireworks, but I had to stop dancing. I almost lost my boombox to rain before and I didn’t want to let that happen again.

Today I am off to Surrey to film another little segment for Punjabi TV. I’ll be rock’en my new SpandyAndy gear. Maybe I can pick up some fans from Bollywood.

I got myself a serving job to help pay the bills. I only work once a week, Friday from 4:30pm – 8:30pm. Come to the Mongolie Grill on Cambie and Broadway and ask for The Spandy Special If you ask, then I’ll be serving you robot style.

The reason I wasn’t performing at the fireworks Wednesday was due to the appearance of somebody that has helped me groove all my life.

Since I moved to Vancouver I have been going out dancing more. There are a lot of clubs to choose from and all kinds of DJ’s in town. When I go out, lots of people recognize me on the dance floor as SpandyAndy. I’ve been trying to think of a way I could bring Spandy into the dance scene. I’ve decided I want to wear Spandex shirts like Nike Pro or Under Amour and rock the spandex at the bars.

Last night I went to the Cellar Nightclub downtown and they had some wicked DJ’s in the house. The event was called, “EDIT breakBeat Culture”. The organizer recognized me from dancing around and now I’m talking with him about getting into the scene. He gave me a few shout outs through out the night and I rocked the floor.
