No Excuses
Hey everyone;
Just a quick update on the Spandy Training Schedule. Also want to talk to you about excuses.
Dec. 22nd – I completed Yoga, Dance Practice and my Performance. ![]()
Dec. 23rd – Not only did I complete 2 Yoga classes, practiced dance and studied Japanese, but I actually did 4 Bikram 90 min hot yoga classes!
Dec. 23rd was an eye opening day for me. I was super worried about the 2nd yoga class. I told myself, it’s okay, just go to class, try your best, you don’t have to do all the poses, just make it to the 2nd class. Well once I was in the 2nd class and super focused I couldn’t believe how easy it was! By the end of class I seriously was more energized then ever. I asked the instructor and decided to stay right through to the next class.
After the 3rd class I was even MORE pumped. I could now touch my toes, something I have never been able to do. I left the 3rd class to meet up with WackyJacky to visit and get a copy of the English Bay Documentary he shot for me. I invited him out to the last class of yoga for the night and he accepted. If I could do it 4 times, he could do it once. The first time is the toughest by far so I’m super stoked that WackyJacky made it through.
Leading me into the key point to this blog post. No excuses. If you continue to complain about the same thing over and over in life, ie. weight, confidence, anything; it’s time to take action. I don’t care if your leg hurts, you have asthma, what ever your excuse is ask yourself one thing, are you happy with your life right now? If you don’t complain about anything, then don’t worry. If you complain about anything, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
New Years Resolutions are pointless. Start from NOW and remember the feeling you have when you get super excited about something in life. The drive will go away at times, but if you remember that feeling of excitement and passion you had when you thought of it, strive to achieve your goals!
Okay, that’s all. I just finished morning yoga and now I am going to dance it out on the streets somewhere since the dance studio is closed. Make it happen, no matter what! Then I have yoga at 4pm and a relaxing evening.
