The New Year started off with a dip in English Bay, Vancouver during the Polar Bear Swim. It was freezing temps, even colder water and a few thousand excited people.

We started off the morning with a delicious set-menu brunch at The Sylvia Hotel on English Bay. Mimosas, fresh (unlimited!) pastries, and the pancakes I’ve ever had set the tone for a wonderful January 1st. (also helped with the hangover, but I’m trying to forget about that one) Our sweet friends suggested The Sylvia Hotel as our meet up spot that day, and I am SO glad they did. It was everything I wanted and then some. The view. Wow. It’s amazing, and one that needs to just go and see for yourself. You won’t regret it!

The Polar Bear swim was a HIT. Andy was stopped multiple times for a dance, autograph and a laugh. It was exciting to see all these people in the same place, suffering, yet so happy to be taking part in such a crazy experience!
