Downtown Adelaide on a hot Friday afternoon is essentially like most cities; busy, crowded sidewalks, funky art lining the streets and food trucks galore. Each city we find ourselves in has its own unique touches, and Adelaide provided that in the form of their sculptures, mall layout and buskers.
I loved how this guy played the digerado – so much passion!
I love a street that you can walk down without cars, and carelessly wander between shops, both local and big brands. I also love a good people watching area, and busy downtown cities like Adelaide provide the perfect back drop for some people watching. Busy people, tourists, the go-getters, the lazy walkers, the mummy chasing baby, granny walking slowly. It’s all fascinating to me.
I loved how easy the train to downtown was, a quick 20 minutes after jumping on the train and we found ourselves in the sunny city center. Public transit in busy cities makes all the difference.
We love flowers – Andy loves the colors, I love them all!
Andy sat on one of these pigs without realizing how hot the bronze would be!
I love a good deal on fresh juice – and seeing it so available in the city!
The malls balls are an iconic spot in downtown Adelaide.
We stopped by Nespresso for some coffee tasting and our friends were picking up some new flavors. We were treated to the best customer service and coffee knowledge by one of Nespresso’s coffee connoisseurs. This guy was seriously the best. I complimented him on his customer service skills and ability to juggle so many things at once. He was truly passionate about his job and it shined through in everything he was doing. We both LOVE when people care about what they do, and try to make a small difference in their jobs and peoples lives daily. Way to go Nespresso, you impressed us!
This guy cracks me up! Always goofing off.
Being casual at our picnic. Life is good!
This was taken after our stomach busting meal at Sneaky Pickle. A locals favorite, this food truck is soon transitioning to a restaurant of their own. Our friends were intent on taking us there and showing us the best food truck food in the city, and Sneaky Pickle didn’t disappoint. If you’re in the Adelaide area, check them out!
